Capes Frequently Asked Questions

Are these really one size fits all?
My capes really do come close to fitting most everyone. I have sold them to girls size 3, women wearing size 3X, and men who are XL. The hoods are very roomy and the design of the yokes is what gives the capes the flexibility to fit such a wide range of sizes.

What is the length of the Build Your Own Cape?
The front at its shortest is approximately 55" graduating to a length of 62" in the back.

What is the fabric used to make the capes?
The Build Your Own Cape fabric is called silkessence. In my pre-made cape designs I use a variety of fabrics including velvet, silk, brushed cotton, and lace.

Can I choose a different fabric?
I am always pleased to custom make whatever you want.

Do you make children's capes?
I do make children's capes but the style does not have the same yokes as the adult capes. Because of the great variety of sizes in children and especially the differing lengths that would be required I make all children's capes custom.

How long does it take to get a cape once ordered?
Any cape in stock would ship no later than 72 hours after ordered. Usual shipment of custom or Build Your Own is within 2 weeks. I strive to ship as quickly as possible and to meet any want date you have where possible.

What are some custom things I can add to my cape?
Fabric of course can make the most difference. Putting prints with solids, perhaps an overlay of a sheer over another fabric. Lining or making it re- versable. Trim around hood, faux fur hood lining, ribbon down front on inside or outside. Having more than one closure (I have found when you have more than one, three is the best for appearance.) I would love to help you design something just for you.
